INTRODUCTION
Mertech Marine (established 1998) has been pioneering and innovating turnkey solutions to the submarine telecommunication industry since 2004. Mertech Marine recovers out of service cables using its own marine fleet, dismantles and recycles cables in our own factories.
Since 2004 Mertech Marine has recovered in excess of 100,000 km of out of service cable which was acquired from cable owners. Our recovery procedures are aligned to industry best practice and International Cable Protection Committee (“ICPC”) recommendations to ensure the safety and security of crew and other live cables. Mertech Marine also offers shore-end services, cable logistics, depot services and related submarine services according ICPC and International recommendations.
RECOVERY

Mertech Marine also offers freighting, route survey, relay and related submarine services according to ICPC and International recommendations.
RECYCLING
Our factory consists of a fully mechanical dismantling facility which breaks the out of service cables down into its component parts. The dismantling process is environmentally friendly, fully mechanical without any smelting. Our factory is ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 14001:2004 accredited.
SHORE-END SERVICES
Our marine engineers and marine management team provide fit-for-purpose shore-end solutions aimed at addressing the specific needs of the customer. Shore-end projects can be undertaken using our own vessels or by making use of purpose built survey vessels through established partnerships in the market.
DEPOT SERVICES
In association with WIND in the Netherlands, Mertech Marine has established cable storage facilities (depots) to support our own cable recovery projects as well as that of our customers.
CABLE LOGISTICS
Through our close cooperation with WIND in the Netherlands we provide specialist cable freighting and full turnkey logistical solutions to cable projects across the globe. Through innovative design some of our vessels are also able to transport general cargo between cable recovery voyages.
ROUTE CLEARANCE
Mertech Marine is known for our innovative solutions to marine projects. Route clearance projects, including shore-end removals, is an area where our team of marine and engineering experts are able to add significant value towards finding economical alternative solutions for challenging projects.
